Vision

A community free from violence against women, girls and children that respects, protects and values women's and children's rights.

Mission

Preventing all forms of violence against women, girls and children through community mobilization, legal empowerment, and advocacy.

Founded by six Tanzanian women who refused to watch from the sidelines

In 1999, Kivulini was born from a simple conviction: violence against women is preventable, and every community member has a role to play. Since then we have grown into a trusted regional force — mobilizing communities, empowering survivors, and shifting the norms that allow violence to persist.
